Abstract
Mg-3Y-2Nd-1Zn-1Mn alloy was deformed in tensile creep at constant load and grain-boundary sliding was measured by offset of marker lines. Creep failure takes place by continuous nucleation, growth and coalescence of cavities on dendritic boundaries.
