Abstract
In this paper we provide an overview of research topics related to XML schemas that we have been dealing with during our work on Information Society Project (1ET100300419). We briefly describe the current state of the art and open problems we have encountered in particular areas, the results we have acquired, as well as remaining open issues and ongoing aims we have stated.
