Regional climate model simulations of precipitation patterns in the Czech Republic

Abstract

Potential of several regional climate models to simulate the character of precipitation in the Czech Republic was evaluated. Models are able to capture the basic features of observed precipitation patterns, weak point is overestimation of the yearly precipitation totals and a tendency to flatten the annual cycles.
