Relaxation of an area-like functional for the function x/|x|

Abstrakt

We compute the relaxation of an area-like functional for sequences of functions from the intersection of C^1(B(r),R^m)and L^1(B(r),R^m) converging strongly in the L^1(B(r),R^m)-norm to the function x/|x|.
