On discontinuous Galerkin method and semiregular family of triangulations.

Abstract

Penalized schemes are analyzed in the context of quite general triangular meshes for the discretization of second order elliptic partial differential equations satisfying only a semiregularity assumption. A new penalty term is presented.

Illustrative numerical results are given.
