Rotational dynamics of adamantanecarboxylic acid in complex with beta-cyclodextrin

Abstract

The reorientation of adamantanecarboxylic acid (AdCA) within the beta-cyclodextrin is investigated by means of multiple-field 13C NMR relaxation. It was found that the motion of AdCA is extremly anisotropic, with adamantyl rotating fast arround beta-cyclodextrin symmetry axis.
