Information about STDs in Romanian women - results from the representative survey

Abstract

Autors present results of a representative survey of knowledge of Romanian women (N=1001), 15-50 years old, in the area of STDs and HIV transmission. About 20 % of respondents believe that hormonal contraception and coitus interruptus is a sufficient prevention of infection.

Better konwledge of the HIV infection was found in women from larger towns, with higher education and non-religeous.
