Abstract

While part I offered a positive presentation of Lévi-Strauss? thought, part II points out some of its limits, suggesting 3 ways of reforming it. 1) Structuralism is reconciled with functionalism. 2) Narrativity is taken into account. 3) Antistructure is shown to be no less important than structure.
