Abstract
The review deals mainly with those aspects of the book that concern the generaly theory of literature (intertextuality, different ways of reading, literature and phenomenology). The author of the review appreciates new approaches which Martin Pokorný uses in his reading of Joyce (the concept of affective syntax).
