Conceptualization of Future and Past in Czech Sign Language and Polish Sign Language

Abstract

Problem in entry is handled in term of the conceptual metaphor theory. Specifics of the iconic and metaphoric mapping in Czech and Polish Sign Language are presented and illustrated on examples of conceptual metaphors TIME IS SPACE.
