Language and Identity in the Euroregion Nisa

Abstract

I have investigated the bilingual school in Euroregion Nisa, the conception of the identity of the Czech and German schoolmates and the a/symmetry of language use of both partner languages. I follow the relationship between language use and use of ethnics´ categories in situ.

Language asymmetry causes problems in ethnic relation and leads to the ethnic exclusion.
