Abstract
Author deals not only with social, cultural, scietific and political impact of Frantisek Palacky (1798 - 1876) in the Czech national society and Habsburg Central Europe as well. He focuses above all on historical origine of epiteton ornans 'Father of the Czech nation', which Palacky obtained already in the last years of his life.
His 'life after his death' is also an impornant part of the content of this book (see pp. 296 - 356).
