Results of empirical survey (N=337) confirmed, that the smoking prevalence in this sample of Czech nurse is higher than smoking prevalence in women in the Czech population. The average time of smoking in surveyed sample is 14.35 years, the most frequent time is 10 years, and the average number of cigarettes was 11.7 a day.
No significant diffrence was found in the level of well-being of smokers and non-smokers, and the average value of internal locus of control is slightly lower in the group of smokers.
