'The language of padonki' and 'preved': The expansion and counter-hegemony of a Russian internet (post)slang

Abstract

The paper deals with linguistic features of a Russian internet slang, its expansion beyond the internet, and its purpose to disrupt the hegemony of the orthographic rules of Russian and of the official media image of the current Belarusian president.
