Roman Inspiration in the Work of the Architect Johann Blaise Santini-Aichel

Abstract

Johann Blaise Santini-Aichel has certainly visited Rome in his journayman years between the years 1695-1700, as we may judge from important inspiration sources in the Rome High Baroque architecture. Without any doubt, Francesco Borromini played the most important role among other influences.
