Abstract
The study scrutinizes genuineness and credibility of narrative text presented by a Franciscan missionary Remedius Prutký (1713-1770) in his manuscript Itinerarium. It focuses on a specific narrative thus proving Prutký used to take over considerably large parts of his text from other published material without saying anything, which the hitherto historiography was not aware of.
