Czech Sculptor in Africa. František V. Foit on his Journey from Cairo to Cape Town

Abstract

The article deals with the scientific journey to Africa undertaken in 1931 by sculptor F. V.

Foit and zoologist J. Baum.

On their trip the two men learned about ancient Egyptian monuments and various African cultures. They devoted this travel to their scientific work.
