Self-Organizing Feature Maps: Semiotic Interpretation and Possible Application in Lexicography

Abstract

Semiotic interpretation of lexical cohesion is presented on the Lexical Feature Maps which visualize the observed similarity relations among collocation profiles of written German. Several examples in practical lexicography are given.
