Abstract
The article discusses the interpretation of the Greek emporion excvated by the international team of Bulgarian,Czech and British archaeologists at Vetren, identified by an inscription as Pistiros. Its parallels in other part of the world are analyzed. and its relation to Thracian rulers considered in the frame of geography of Thrace.
