Abstract

A reconstruction of the composition and activity of the court of John, the youngest son of the emperor Charles IV. John became duke of Gorlitz when he was seven years old (1377) and in the next 10 years, he frequently dwelt in Gorlitz, his residence town.

In Gorlitz, he received visits, negotiated and organized court feasts and tournaments.
