Abstract
The appearance and development of corpus lingvistics is a major feature of contemporary lingvistics. It offers excellent opportunities to linguists as well as to specialists in other fields - sociologists, psychologists - both for study and work.
The article focuses on types of corpora, problems connected with their creation and application. Special attention is paid to the CNC and the programme of the Parallel Corpus.
