Abstract
Media education has became an etabled part of educational system in Czech republic. This article brings some new information which has come from the research of teachers - absolvents of Rozumet médiím project (2005-2007).
The article shows the teachers views of media education, their reasons, problems and experiences followed from their pedagogical efforts of empowerment of media literacy.
