War monuments/memorials as places of memory in Czech republic after 1989 - Lieux de mémoire or battlefield of memories?

Abstract

A history of monuments of the World war II after 1989: dealing with monuments from the years after 1945 the "acquitting old debts" after 1989 (e.g. the monument "Thanks, America" in Pilsen or places commemorating Czech RAF pilots), and finally some remaining problems (Czech-German places of memory).
