Abstract
The book deals mainly with the vascular system, the links between endothelium and haemostasis, activation of coagulation factors, the origin of coagulation active complexes, and brings it into relation with the classical and new models of haemostatic processes. In the second part it focuses on problems of fibrinolysis, inhibitors of blood clotting and the active interference of the inhibitors in the area of activated haemostasis.
The part dealing with haemostasis pathophysiology presents the causes of the disorder and describes the laboratory tests. A separate part of the book describes methods and instruments applied in investigating the changes in haemostatic mechanisms.
