Abstract
Authors report a review of current issues in morphological, immunohistochemical and molecular-genetic diagnostics of breast carcinoma. In particular, classification of tumors based on molecular profiling, frequency of HER-2 positive tumors in population, as well as new approaches and pitfalls in HER-2/neu diagnostics, including current recommendations for performing the tests in the Czech Republic are discussed.
