Abstract
New information concerning clinical manifestation, diagnostic approach to the patient and therapy of prehepatic cause of portal hypertension is described. This can exists solely in truncus of portal vein or also in upper mesenteric vein or splenic vein.
On one hand diagnosis is better, but therapy is in progress on the basis of new experiences.
