The overview study precedes the previous study dealing with theory and models of posttraumatic personality growth. It presents the overview of most frequent quantitative and qualitative methods for posttraumatic growth diagnostics and discusses the psychological problems, which the measurement of positive changes is competing.
The special attention is paid to direct interventions. The therapist has to the disposal two approaches: the general one for all posttraumatic intervention, and the specific one for posttraumatic growth.
The examples from literature illustrate how the helping professionals can help the individuals coping with trauma not only to reach the pre-traumatic level but to get over it, to find a new sense of life.
