Findings on laparoscopy in women with chronic pelvic pain

Abstract

A group of 71 women with chronic pelvic pain of more than 6 months duration underwent laparoscopy and completed questionaires covering their sexual behavior. We fond adhaesions in 44 %, endometriosis in 11 %, cystic tumors and fibriods in 10 %, resp. 11 %, and no pathology in 23 %. 49 % of participants were users of hormonal contraception and there was no woman with IUD.
