Abstract

The measurement of total body composition and hormonal parameters in 150 males revealed significantly lower values of bone mineral density, higher content of fat tissue and in a subgroup with body mass index higher that 25kg/m2 higher values of total estradiol in males with prevalent fracture compared to controls. The higher fat content in total body composition can be considered as one of probable risk factors of osteoporotic fracture
