Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2008

Abstract

The study reviewed diagnostic methods that are used for examination of perceived quality of life in children with a diagnosis of epilepsy. It also summarized the results of survey with 61 children and adolescents.

The first outcome of this survey was a Czech version of Canadian questionnaire HRQoLCE - Health-Related Quality of Life in Children with Epilepsy. Some sex-related differences in quality of life in children with epilepsy were found.

The disease has a significant impact on emotional life of a child and his/her thoughts about future.
