Abstract
Charles Taylor (* 1931) one of the pre-eminent figures in contemporary philosophy has devoted much of his work to a new understanding of religion in modernity. Contrary to most of his colleagues at philosophical departments he openly admits that his philosophical thinking is deeply inspired by Christian faith.
