Abstract
Monograph deals with the Bohemian medieval art and it consists of six chapters based on the founding work of Bohemian princes and kings and on buildings and works of art which came into existence under their patronage. The emphasis is laid on the representative role of sovereign maecenatism.
That is why some of these works of art belong to the symbols of national state identity.
