The aim of this conference was to link and to discuss the research outcomes of various disciplines; and in this way, contribute towards a more comprehensive view of the migration phenomena and of the migrant situation from an everyday perspective. The following topics have been discussed: legal and illegal migration, refugee policy, international trafficking of women and children, ethical justification of a national limit on the flow of immigrants, ethical principles of forming a labour migration, elements of European migration policies, and the possibilities and challenges of integrating ethnic minorities.
