Cistercian monasteries as a graveyard of members of of ruling families in the Central Europe.

Abstract

In the late 12th century Cistercian monasteries became the favourite burial places for the members of ruling families not only in the Western but also in the Central Europe. The study deals with those Cistercian monasteries that fulfilled this role.
