Abstract

The chapter is about the problem of transition in Czech Republic, expecially in the institution school. This change affects competencies of the school and competencies of the teachers.

The authors describe this change and for the redefinition of the teacher s competencies they use the theoretical concept of self-efficacy. The concept of self-efficacy helps also to define a more effective work of the teachers.
