Abstract
The status of the Czech language in the Czech - German borderland reinforced considerably. German speaking inhabitants, who stayed in the Czech border area after the 2nd World War, use in the most communicative situations Czech language and they have positive attitude towards it.
The mother tongue of their descendants is the Czech language.
