Abstract

Kidney transplantation is a surgical procedure which result is affected by a number of surgical and non-surgical factors. The impact of these factors can result into sporadic outbreaks of complications in the public, the overall clinical picture.

Is often different and clinical consequences are more serious. Perforating diverticulitis is one of the most important complications of gastrointestinal tract with high risk of mortality.

This kind of complication always claims an intensive and radical therapy including intestinal resection, reduction of immunosuppressive therapy or its excluding and finally an intensive antibiotic treatment. Due to all known high risk factors, patients above 50 as well as those of suffering from autosomal polycystic kidney disease have to undrego a strict intestinal examination before they are put on a waiting list.

All patients who had lived through the acute diverticulitis before transplantation require urgent prophylactic resection of pathological intestinal segment.
