Abstract
It is presented a case of 81 years old women treated solely for hypertension. She was hospitalised for analgetic therapy for vertebrogenic syndrome.
During hospitalisation the asthma and pain on the chest occur. Base on CT angiography the diagnosis of bilateral lung embolia was formulated.
The patient was transported at the internal medicine department and treated with low molecular weight heparin. Nevertheless, the clinical symptoms of cardiac failure are progressing.
Urgent surgical revision of pericardium was indicated. Immediately after the surgery the vascular system was stabilized.
The seventh day after the surgery the situation is getting worse - syncope, apnoea, bradycardia and shock with artificial ventilation. During next hours the situation is worsening leading to the multiorgan failure and the death of the patient.
