Abstract
This book on practical general medicine, published by a team of physicians, lawyers and nurses lead by experienced general practitioners Bohumil Seifert and Václav Beneš, appears for the first time since the establishment of general medicine as an independent branch in the year 1978. The authors present the general practice of medicine as an autonomous and independent field of study with its specific approach to patients and specific solutions to medical problems.
