Abstract
The reflections on mutual relation of the risk factors for cardiovascular diseases culminated in the year 1988 by Reavens´ assumption that there is a syndrome of metabolic disorders (MS) ? the so-called ?syndrome X?, the main factor of which is insulin resistance.
