Abstract
This new textbook of ophthalmology falls into medical students´ hands after almost 20 years since its second edition. Ophthalmology has undergone rapid development since then, therefore new chapters were included and the previous text was rewritten.
The team of authors represents all Czech departments of ophthalmology in the Czech Republic. The aim of the authors is to provide a sufficient amount of information covering not only demands for exams in ophthalmology but to help in clinical practice as well.
