Abstract
Treatment of acute pain in children is mainly therapy of posttraumatic and post-operation pain and it is an integral part of care for paediatric patient in the departments of surgery on all the levels, where it is provided (OPD room, standard ward, ICU). Selection of analgesia depends on localisation and type of injury or surgical procedure required surgical post-operation care, age and medical condition of the patient.
