Structural Adaptation of Vocal Fold on Vibrating Stress

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2007

Abstract

The authors concentrated on a study of human vocal folds microstructure. Enlargement of knowledge about architecture of human?s larynx vocal folds could increase the possibilities of diagnostics and health procedures.

The aim of the study was to extend understanding of the laryngeal microstructure in term of vibrating stress. The authors used the elaboration microscopic cuts from different parts of glottic?region and various painting systems.

In the centre of authors interest were structures with tight relation to ability (human larynx) of high tolerance to extreme vibrations during speaking or singing.
