Abstract
Insulin receptors and nuclear receptors are also expressed in the brain. The experimental and clinical studies suggest that influence of these receptors may be important in the treatment of degenerative and autoimmune disease of the grain, ischemic cerebral strokes and cerebral tumors.
Most suitable drugs used in clinical practice are fibrates, thiazolidinediones and the novel forms of these drugs.
