Use of the implants at defective jaws

Abstract

Any type of dentition defect may be improved by means of modern dental implants that became a routine matter under normal conditions. Nevertheless, we encounter patients whose starting conditions for insertion are not standard, are anatomically unfavorable and thus difficult.

These rather rare situations are caused by consequences of ablative onco-surgical operations, corrections of cleft anomalies or by consequences of irradiation in the orofacial region.
