Abstract

The condition of the foetus is one of the most important factors that influence the decisions in modern perinatology. Each method evaluating the condition of the foetus used in perinatal medicine is intended for differentiation of healthy foetuses without the risk from the endangered foetuses, mostly by hypoxia.

Within the antepartal diagnostics of foetus hypoxia are used clinical and clinical-biochemical methods (gravidometry, amnioscopy, amniocentesis and cordocentesis) and electronic methods (cardiotocography, ultrasound diagnostics). Mainly electronic monitoring of biophysical activities of the foetus contributed in the recent decades to decreased perinatal mortality and morbidity.
