Objective: To explain the mechanism of the origin of unilateral retrohyaloid and vitreous hemorrhage in čase of subdural haematom after a severe brain injury. Conclusion: The diagnosis of Terson syndrome was started on the base of eye examination.
The damage to peripapillary tissues demonstrated by fluorescein leakage suggests that intracranial hypertension affects peripapillary structures through the intervaginal space of the optic nerve sheath.
