Treatment of postcatheterization pseudoaneurysms: possibilities of percutaneous thrombin administration as a nex method

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2003

Abstract

The aim of study was to evaluate safety and efficacy of ultrasound-guided percutaneous thrombin injection in the treatment of catheter-induced false aneurysms. Conclusion: US guided thrombin injection offers an effective, less expensive, quick and well-tolerated therapy of iatrogenic femoral PSA without the need for sedation or analgesia.

Authors use this method after unsuccessful US-guided compression.
