Abstract
Presented case report shows that the gastrointestinal symptomatology can be the dominant one in the clinical picture of systemic AL amyloidosis. Impaired function of many organs can be found out when other tests (including biochemical ones) are realized.
There is one interesting fact in our case report ? repeated false negative results of staining with Congo red.
