Chlamydia trachomatis: Actual view, possibilities and limit of direct diagnosis

Abstract

As chlamydia infections are a frequent topic of discussions, we included into the introduction also a concise review of the problems - actual division, clinical signs, therapy and diagnostics. In the main part of the paper we present results of a retrospective study dealing with direct diagnostics of C.T. by means of immunofluorescent method in the years 1997 ? 2003 in the eastern region of the Czech Republic.
